The Excel add-in for Microsoft Dynamics NAV stores connection information in the Excel workbook as plain text and is therefore available to anyone who can open the workbook. When you work with and export data in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, permissions are enforced, and you must have the correct permissions. However, when data is in Excel, you cannot enforce permissions, and you must take precautions when storing and distributing any exported data.
