There will be occasions in which you want to make sure that an item you want for a service order is available. If an item is available to reserve, you can reserve it to make sure that it is available for your use on a service order.
To reserve an item for a service order
In the Search box, enter Service Orders, and then choose the related link.
From the Service Orders list, select the service order you want, and on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.
From the service order, on the Lines FastTab, choose Actions, choose Order, and then choose Service Lines.
In the Service Lines window, select the item you want to reserve, and on the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Reserve. Choose the OK button.
In the Reservation window, on the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Reserve from Current Line. Choose the OK button.
