You can adjust how hours are allocated in the Time Sheet Allocation window. This can be useful when you post consumed resource hours from a service order or an assembly order. Because those hours are automatically copied to a time sheet on the posting date, you make any adjustments that you need in the Time Sheet Allocation window. However, you can allocate posted hours for any kind of time sheet line.
To allocate posted hours among days of the week on a time sheet
Open the time sheet for the period for which you want to reallocate hours.
Select a line, and on the Navigate tab, in the Line group, choose Time Sheet Allocation.
The Time Sheet Allocation window opens.
Review the information on the General FastTab. When you first open the window, you can see Total Quantity of hours, which is equal to the Allocated Quantity.
Expand the Time sheet period FastTab. For each day, allocate any part, including all or none, of the hours that are available in the Total Quantity field. However, the allocated number of hours must equal the total quantity. The Allocated Quantity field calculates the sum of the hours that have been allocated.
Note You cannot close the Time Sheet Allocation window if the two fields on the General FastTab do not contain the same number of hours.
