Specifies the number of the work center by using one of the following methods:
-
If you have set up a default Work Center Nos., press ENTER to have the program fill in this field with the next number in the series.
-
If you have set up more than one number series for production work centers, click the field and select the series you want to use. The program will fill in the field with the next number in that series.
-
If you have not set up a number series for production work centers, or if the number series has a check mark in the Manual Nos. field, you can enter a number manually. You can enter a maximum of 20 characters, both numbers and letters.
The number must be unique - you cannot have the same number twice in one table. You can set up as many numbers as you like.
The number identifies the work center. If, for example, you enter this number in a routing, the appropriate data (such as description) will be inserted automatically.
You must always specify a work center number before you can fill in the other fields on the work center card.
