Specifies a time period that defines how frequently the system checks supply-demand events on the timeline to discover if the item on the demand line is available on its planned shipment date. The setting in this field also applies to the Order Promising functionality.
If you select Week, for example, then the program checks for availability based on demand-supply events accumulated during one week at a time. At the end of each week, the system checks if the demand line can be covered. If the sum quantity in one of the time buckets, within the Check-Avail. Period Calc. period, can cover the demand, then no stockout warning is displayed.
For more information, see Check-Avail. Time Bucket.
