Specifies the type of totaling for the analysis line. The type determines which items within the totaling range that you specify in the Range field will be totaled.
Choose the field to see the options:
Item
The total will be calculated from amounts on items in the item list.
Item Group
The total will be calculated from the dimension code you have set up for item groups in the Inventory Setup window. Unless you have set up a global dimension for item groups, you must specify the Analysis View Code that applies to your analysis line template, because the analysis report will then be based on analysis view entries.
Customer
The total will be calculated from item transactions for those customers you specify in the Range field.
Customer Group
The total will be calculated from the dimension code you have set up for customer groups in the Sales & Receivables Setup window. Unless you have set up a global dimension for customer groups, you must specify the Analysis View Code that applies to your analysis line template, because the analysis report will then be based on analysis view entries.
Sales/Purchaser Person
The total will be calculated from the dimension code you have set up for salespeople in the Sales & Receivables Setup window. Unless you have set up a global dimension for salespeople/purchasers, you must specify the Analysis View Code that applies to your analysis line template, because the analysis report will then be based on analysis view entries.
Formula
The total will be calculated from amounts in other rows in the analysis report. You enter the formula in the Range field.
If you use Insert Items, all lines will automatically be assigned the totaling type Item.
