Displays the general posting type that applies to the entry.
The program automatically retrieved the general posting type from one of the following fields:

If the entry was posted from a general journal line, the general posting type was copied from the Gen. Posting Type field or the Bal. Gen. Posting Type field on the journal line.

If the entry was posted from a purchase order, invoice or credit memo, the general posting type was filled in if VAT was calculated on the line.
You cannot change the general posting type because the entry has been posted.
