The system copies the next operation number from the Next Operation No. field on the Routing Line

You can change the next operation number manually.
The next operation number need not necessarily be only one number. It is also possible for two or more operations to follow an operation concurrently. The next operation is the operation, which starts, when the current operation has finished.
