Specifies the date on which the employee first received the miscellaneous article.
This field, along with the To Date field, defines the time period that the employee has the miscellaneous article indicated in the Misc. Article Code field in his or her possession.

| To obtain meaningful statistics for dates before the year 1980, you must enter all four digits in the year; for example, enter 1975 for 1975, not just 75. Otherwise, the program will consider the date to be in the 21st century. In the above example, if you entered just 75, the program would consider the date to be in the year 2075. |
