Specifies the code of the salesperson who normally handles this contact.
If you have set up a Default Salesperson Code in the Marketing Setup window, the program will suggest a default salesperson each time a new contact is created.
If you have selected the Inherit Salesperson Code field in the Marketing Setup window, each time you enter a new contact person for an existing company the program will fill in this field by copying the code of the salesperson for the company from the Salesperson Code field in the Contact table.
You can use this field to segment your contacts and to sort contacts in the contact list.
Once a salesperson code has been assigned to a contact, the program will use the appropriate salesperson as a default when you create interactions, to-dos, and opportunities involving the contact.
