Specifies the quantity of items that you have received as returned from the customer.
Each time the Quantity field is updated and you post a return order, the program will automatically suggest receiving the quantity that has not yet been received. It calculates this quantity as the difference between the Quantity and Return Qty. Received fields.
The program automatically creates return receipts when you post, but only if the return order contains at least one line for which the Return Qty. to Receive is not zero. That way, you do not create returns where the quantity for all lines is zero.
The program updates this field automatically, every time returned items are received.
If the location on the sales return order line has been set up to require receive processing and warehouse activities have started, the value in this field can only be controlled by the warehouse receipt document. If you try to fill in this field, the program will give you a warning that anything entered here will be disregarded by the warehouse operations.
If you want to bypass the warehouse operations, you must cancel the warehouse activities for this line.
