Open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Contact Coupling window.
Specifies a coupling between a contact in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and a contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. A coupling links the contact record to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact record. You can set up a coupling to an existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact or you can also use this window to create and couple to a new contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
The coupling enables the following functionality:
-
From Microsoft Dynamics NAV, you can open the coupled contact directly in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
-
From Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you can open the coupled contact directly in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
This requires that the Microsoft Dynamics NAV integration solution is set up in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. For more information, see How to: Set Up Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Integration with Dynamics NAV. -
You can synchronize the contact with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact, so that data in Microsoft Dynamics NAV fields that are mapped to corresponding fields in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact is the same in both locations.
To set up the coupling, on the Coupling FastTab, set the Contact field to an existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact. Or, to create and couple to a new contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, select the Create New Contact check box.
You can use the information in the Coupled Records FastTab to help you determine which Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact is coupled to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV contact. The Coupled Records FastTab lists the some of the fields for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV contact and the corresponding mapped fields for the selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM contact. The Dynamics NAV Contact column displays the current field values in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the Dynamics CRM Contact column displays the current field values in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
