Open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Account Coupling window.
Specifies a coupling between a customer in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and an account in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. A coupling links, or associates, the customer record with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account record. You can set up a coupling to an existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM account or you can also use this window to create and couple to a new account in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
The coupling enables the following functionality:
-
From Microsoft Dynamics NAV, you can open the coupled account directly in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. From Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you can open the coupled customer directly in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
This requires that the Microsoft Dynamics NAV integration solution is set up in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. For more information, see How to: Set Up Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Integration with Dynamics NAV. -
You can view and modify opportunities, cases, and quotes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM that are related to the coupled account.
-
When a sales order is posted for the customer, a post is recorded in Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the coupled account.
-
You can synchronize the customer with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account, so that data in customer fields that are mapped to corresponding fields in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account is the same in both places.
To set up the coupling between a customer and a Microsoft Dynamics CRM account, on the Coupling FastTab, set the Account field to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM account. Or, to create and couple to a new account in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, select the Create New Account check box.
You can use the information in the Coupled Records FastTab to help you determine which Microsoft Dynamics CRM account is coupled to the customer. The Coupled Records FastTab lists the some of the fields for the customer and the corresponding mapped fields for the selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM account. The Dynamics NAV Customer column displays the current field values in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the Dynamics CRM Account column displays the current field values in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
