Group Policies
When a Date Meter Policy is created, it is assigned as a member of its own group by TAG. The Edit Policy Group option allows you to add or remove Policies from its Group. Only Date Meter Policies with the same Equipment in the header and with a Date Meter Type of Date are eligible to be added to the group for this Policy.
Policies with more than one member in its group are evaluated differently than Policies with a single group member by the Order Worksheet > Evaluate Policies operation. When there are multiple Policies in a Group, the Evaluate Policies option evaluates the Policies in the Group by the designated Evaluation Sequence. Starting with the member with the lowest Evaluation Sequence, TAG determines if that Policy has reached its trigger point. If it has, an entry is created in the Order Worksheet for that Policy and all other Policies in the group are ignored for insertion.
Edit Group Policies
If the entry in the Worksheet is generated into a Released Order, there a special operations performed by TAG when Posting. During the posting process, when such condition exits, TAG increments and updates the next service information on the Date Meter Policy used to generate the Released Order. Further action is taken on the remaining members of the Group. Each other Policy member will have its next service information rolled forward and updated by the Occurrence Interval specified on the Policy
