Open the Consume Related Requirements window.
Consumptions of Related Requirements may be accomplished by using the Consumption option under the Complete button. When selected, the Consume Related Requirements form is presented.
Consumption
Click the row(s) under the Post column that you want to post. If the checkmark is present and you click the column, the checkmark will be removed. Enter a value in the Actual Quantity column indicating the quantity of the Related Requirement you want to consume.
The Location and Posted Quantity columns are drill down enabled. The Location for the entry will default from the Facility. However, you may change the Location by entering a valid Location or drilling and selecting from the Location List. You may drill on the Posted Quantity column allowing you to view other Consumptions that have been Posted against the Work Order.
Once a Consumption is completed, by pressing F11 or selecting the Consume option under the Consume button, TAG generates a Consumption Work Order. If you require approvals, the Work Order will be placed into the Pending Approval queue. Not until that Work Order is Posted will your NAV journals be updated.
You may change the Dimensions for the posting by selecting the Dimension option under the Consume button. Once you have completed these activities, select the Consume option. Only those Related Requirements that have been "checked" and that have an Actual Quantity will be used during the consumption operation.
As part of the Consumption process, TAG generates a Consumption Only Work Order. If you have the Approvals Required option activated, the consumption generated Work Order will be placed in Pending Approvals. If you do not, the Consumption Only Work Order will be Posted and moved to Finished Orders.
On the Usage Entry for Work Order form under the Posted Quantity, you will see the quantity that has been posted. In addition, this field is a drillable field allowing you to see a list of the Related Requirements on all Finished Consumption Only Work Orders.
