Open the Close Line window.
The Close Line function is used to "close" a Line on an order. Transversely, the Reopen Line function reopens the Line on the maintenance order. While optional, the purpose of closing a Line on an order is twofold. First, this action allows you to enter, thereby collect, "time to perform" information at the Line level. The second is discussed in the Complete Button section found later in this chapter.
After selecting this Close Maint. Line option, TAG will prompt for information as shown below. The Line No., Description, Starting Date and Starting Time originate from the order. The Ending Date and Ending Time are defaulted to the computer system clock values.
Once Closed, the content of a Line cannot be altered. Therefore, the Reopen Line function and Reopen All Lines options allow a specific Line or all Lines to be reopened so that the content on a Line may be changed.
Enter or override the computed Actual Time by entering a value. The computed time is expressed in the unit of measure shown in the Calculation Method box on the form. That Calculation Method defaults from that specified on the Asset Guardian Setup form as described in the "Getting Started" chapter of the User Guide.

You may also override the Starting Date, Starting time, Ending Date or Ending Time that are displayed. Once the information is provided and OK is clicked, TAG updates the Work Line with a Finished Status and records the information entered.
